These round bale "caterpillars" are at the farm next to us. We watched them wrap some round bales that they are preparing for the winter. It is an interesting and fast process. They take round bales from the fields that are wrapped with a little netting. They put them on this machine and a continual roll of plastic wraps around them as they are dropped out of the back. The machine moves forward. At the end they cap off the last bale. This season was the first they have stored their hay next to our property.
